Taliban: Women’s Sharia Rights Must Be Respected

Mohammad Khaled Hanafi, the Minister for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice under the Taliban government, has stressed the importance of upholding women’s Sharia rights.

In a meeting with officials, religious scholars, and tribal elders in Faryab province, Hanafi declared that no individual or group has the authority to disregard these rights under the guise of customs.

He further assured that any complaints regarding violations of women’s rights would be addressed with serious attention.
