Taliban Prohibits Use of Private Cars as Taxis in Afghanistan

Officials from the Taliban’s traffic department have announced that private cars will not be permitted to operate as taxis unless they have a proper taxi license.

The head of the traffic department emphasized that private car owners must obtain a taxi license to provide taxi services.

Several drivers using private cars in the city have urged the caretaker government to reconsider this decision.
