Taliban Leader: Despite military progress, we are a strong supporter of a political solution for Afghanistan

Ariana News Agency: The leader of the Taliban said in a message on the occasion of Eid al-Adha: “The Taliban, with all its victories and military advances, is a serious supporter of a political solution to the country’s problem.”

In a message on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, Taliban leader Malahabatullah congratulated the people on the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan.

The message reads: “The Taliban group, with all its military victories and advances, is a serious supporter of a political solution to the country’s problem.”

The Taliban leader added: “We have opened our political office in Qatar for the good progress of the talks, and we have assigned a strong negotiating team there and are committed to the negotiation process so that the other problems can be resolved through dialogue.

The message goes on to say that after the withdrawal of all foreign troops from Afghanistan, the group wants good and strong diplomatic, economic and political relations with all countries of the world, including the United States, within the framework of its commitments.

It should be noted that the United States and NATO are scheduled to withdraw all their forces from Afghanistan by September 11 this year.
