The human rights organization “Rudaari” published a report and announced that after taking control of Afghanistan, the Taliban illegally arrested and imprisoned 1,976 people in 29 provinces.
The announcement of this institution states that the detained people are mainly employees of the previous government, women, human rights defenders, civil rights activists, journalists, religious scholars, ethnic figures and other civilians accused of being members of the “Resistance Front,” Rudaari announced.
This organization has emphasized that Taliban intelligence and other departments made the absolute majority of arrests, and individuals also played a role in arresting and imprisoning people.
