Hafiz Ruhollah Rouhani, the head of press, information, and public relations of the Taliban Ministry of Education, responded to a post by “Israel in Farsi” on X: “God willing, we will rush from the land of the graveyard of empires to help our oppressed Palestinian brothers.”
Previously, Mohammed Abdul Kabir, the Political Deputy Prime Minister of the Taliban, highlighted the significance of the Palestinian issue for the Islamic world. Referring to the suffering of the people of Gaza, he stated: “Afghanistan supports the oppressed people of Gaza, and if we shared a border with the occupying regime, we would have gone to war with the Zionists to defend the people of Gaza.”
In an earlier statement, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid held the Zionist regime responsible for the assassination and martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political office of the Palestinian Islamic Movement (Hamas). He emphasized that the continuation of Zionist crimes will undoubtedly destabilize the region and its countries, with the aggressor Zionists and their supporters bearing responsibility for any unpleasant consequences and unfortunate results.
