Taliban Convert Two Girls’ Schools into Religious Institutions in Takhar

Local sources in Takhar Province report that the Taliban have transformed two girls’ schools into religious schools as the new school year begins.

These sources detail that prior to the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, approximately 7,000 girls from grades nine to twelve were enrolled at these two schools.

Following their ascent to power, the Taliban have established numerous religious schools across Afghanistan, concurrently imposing bans on girls’ education.
