Taliban Congratulates Elected President of Iran

The Taliban extended their congratulations to Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian on his victory in the Iranian presidential election.

Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian secured the presidency by winning the majority of votes in the second round of the 14th presidential election.

The deputy head of the Taliban’s political office in Qatar conveyed his congratulations on this victory. He expressed hope that the new Iranian government would not only manage its internal affairs effectively but also take significant steps to enhance bilateral political, economic, and commercial relations between Afghanistan and Iran.

Dr. Pezeshkian, the newly elected president of Iran, was born in 1954 and holds a specialist degree in heart surgery.
