Spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry: Australia seeks to cover up the war crimes of its soldiers in Afghanistan

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said: “It’s quite clear that the ruling establishment of the Green Continent is trying its best to cover up the war crimes committed by Australian troops in Afghanistan, a topic it finds very uncomfortable.”

“Australia is trying to downplay its war crimes in Afghanistan, and the Australian authorities are trying to cover up the war crimes of its soldiers in Afghanistan. For this reason, the previous Australian administration did nothing about war crimes in Afghanistan,” Maria Zakharova added.

Meanwhile, after four years of investigation, the Australian army confirmed that the Australian forces stationed in Afghanistan killed at least 39 Afghan civilians and prisoners in Uruzgan province.
