Taliban Condemns Pakistani Airstrikes, Promises Strong Response

The Taliban spokesperson reported the deaths of four civilians due to airstrikes by Pakistan, emphasizing a strong response to the violation of Afghanistan’s national sovereignty.

The Taliban Responds to Pakistani Airstrikes

Zabiullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban, has harshly condemned air operations conducted by the Pakistani army in the provinces of Kandahar, Paktia, and Khost. He announced that four civilians have lost their lives in these strikes, asserting that Afghanistan will respond decisively to violations of its national sovereignty.

Clear Violation of International Principles

According to an official statement from the Taliban spokesperson, the military operations by Pakistani fighter jets on Thursday morning were described as a clear example of “open aggression and violation of international principles.” Mujahid also dismissed statements from Islamabad’s military officials regarding the alleged use of drones from Afghan territory to target Pakistan, labeling them as baseless and an attempt to justify the aerial attacks.

Severe Consequences for Pakistani Military

Mujahid issued a stern warning that such “reckless and hostile” actions could provoke the anger of the Afghan people and might lead to severe consequences for the Pakistani military. Recently, Kandahar, which serves as the command center for Haibatullah Akhundzada, and the Mullah Omar compound have become targets of these airstrikes.

Escalating Military Tensions

Tensions between Kabul and Islamabad have escalated significantly. Just three days ago, Pakistani fighter jets once again bombed parts of eastern Afghanistan. This situation may pose a threat to Afghanistan’s national security.
