Russia: We Predicted the Fall of Kabul

Zamir Kabulov, Russia’s special representative for Afghanistan, stated that Moscow had predicted the Taliban’s takeover of the Afghan government eight years ago.

He added that prior to the Taliban coming to power, Moscow maintained good relations with the group.

Kabulov also mentioned that Moscow expects Taliban officials to take stronger measures to curb international terrorism.
