Russia: The US and UK created ISIS Branch in Afghanistan

The Russian special representative for Afghanistan said that the ISIS-Khorasan branch was established in Northern Afghanistan by American and British forces.

He stated that ISIS Khorasan appeared in Afghanistan and this happened just when American and other NATO forces were stationed there in large numbers.

In a related context, a spokesperson for the Taliban previously asserted that efforts had been made to suppress the terrorist group within Afghanistan. This was in direct response to statements from American officials concerning the activities of ISIS in the region.
