Returning stolen antiquities to Afghanistan

Hundreds of pieces of ancient artefacts stolen during the occupation and war by American soldiers were returned to the national museum of Afghanistan.

Yahya Mohibzadeh, deputy of the National Museum of Afghanistan, said: “Last year, we stopped the smuggling of 1,000 historical artifacts and returned the historical artifacts to the National Museum.”

The smuggling of antiquities in Afghanistan goes back a long time, and during the war, some historical antiquities were stolen from this museum, Mohibzadeh emphasized.
