Ariana News Agency: The Independent Human Rights Commission (IHRC) has called for an international fact-finding mission to investigate crimes against humanity in Afghanistan.
According to the commission, a fact-finding mission will be appointed and deployed by the United Nations, and the Afghan government will cooperate in establishing the mission and conducting its own investigation.
The Independent Human Rights Commission (IHRC) has made this request on the first anniversary of the assassination of its employees, Fatemeh Natasha Khalil and Ahmad Javid Foolad.
The agency said it had not yet received a satisfactory response from the authorities at the request of the Independent Human Rights Commission to investigate, identify and prosecute the accused and ensure justice.
The Independent Human Rights Commission (IHRC) has said it is “sorry” that other authorities have not addressed the allegations of targeted killings of media activists, civil society activists and human rights defenders.
The commission stressed that the government must be accountable and must fight effectively with impunity to ensure the human rights of its citizens are protected.
