Short Link:
Munira Kakar, a lawyer defending Afghan prisoners in Pakistan, wrote on Twitter that the Pakistani police had arrested several Afghan refugees who had been released from prison and demanded to receive their documents and personal belongings because the refugees refused to pay them money.
Munira added that these asylum seekers are now in detention and do not have access to health services and food, and their relatives have to prepare their meals.
This is the second time that Munira Kakar and Afghan refugees in Pakistan have complained about the unfair treatment and “extortion” by the Pakistani police.
