“On the streets of Kabul, I see more people selling their personal belongings to buy food,” the statement quoted Ilva Filon as saying. “The economic crisis is deepening, which will have a devastating effect on millions of Afghans.”
The Child Protection Fund and other international organizations have previously warned of deteriorating economic conditions in Afghanistan.
International organizations emphasize that this year more than 90% of the Afghan people will need foreign aid.
