The former Afghan National Security Chief said senior Taliban officials were aware of Mullah Omar’s killing by Mullah Mansour and the Pakistani intelligence service.
Reacting to the cause of death of Taliban founder Mullah Omar, Rahmatullah Nabil said he had been gradually killed by Mullah Akhtar Mansour (former Taliban leader) in collusion with the Pakistani intelligence service.
The former head of Afghanistan’s national security wrote on his Twitter page that senior Taliban officials such as Mullah Hassan Akhund (Taliban prime minister) are aware of this.
Following the revelation of Mullah Omar’s death in 2015, the Taliban elected Mullah Akhtar Mansour as his successor.
In the ninth year of Mullah Omar’s death, the Taliban announced that he had died of tuberculosis in Afghanistan.
