Rahmatullah Nabil: Ashraf Ghani will become an adviser to the Taliban government

Former Afghan National Security Chief Rahmatullah Nabil has said that former President Ashraf Ghani is likely to become an adviser to the Taliban.

The former head of national security wrote on his Facebook page that Heshmat Ghani had met with ISRA officials in Ashraf Ghani, Pakistan.

Mr Nabil wrote in this Facebook post: “Heshmat Ghani while transmitting Ashraf Ghani’s special message to Pakistan, discussed the issue of Ashraf Ghani returning as an advisor to the Taliban government and his effectiveness in recognizing the Taliban government and releasing Central Bank money.”They have agreed to some extent.”

“The Taliban’s position on this is still unknown,” said the former Afghan national security chief.
