Qatar Hosts the Fifth Round of US-Taliban Peace Talks

The fifth round of peace talks between US and Taliban delegates is due to be held today in Qatar.

Today the fifth round of Afghanistan peace talks will held in Doha-Qatar. Mr. Zalmy Khalizad for US and Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai each will lead the talks on behalf of their groups.

This is while there were some doubts about Islamabad to throw a spanner in the process of peace talks following tensions rose between India and Pakistan.

As announced by Taliban Spokesman, Mullah Abdul Ghani one co-founder of the Taliban movement and Taliban’s deputy brother will also attend to the meeting in Doha.

As reported, in this meeting the US forces withdrawal timeline and ensuring that Afghanistan won’t be abused for carrying out any attacks against the neighbor countries will be discussed.

The close sources to Taliban groups also announced that both sides draw the utmost effort to obtain desirable results from the fifth rounds of negotiations.
