In a recent statement, Pakistan’s Defense Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, has once again highlighted Afghanistan as the epicenter of terrorism plaguing his country.
He asserted that the persistent terror wave in Pakistan would not subside until the Afghan authorities dismantle the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) training camps and safe havens within their borders.
Speaking to journalists at the Pakistani Parliament, Asif recounted his previous visit to Afghanistan with a delegation, during which they implored Taliban leadership to curb terrorist activities emanating from their territory.
However, Asif critiqued the solutions proposed by Afghanistan as impractical, noting that the Taliban have persistently advocated for dialogue between the Pakistani government and the TTP, even offering to mediate the discussions.
