Pakistan’s Commitment to Engagement with Afghanistan

Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram, reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to maintaining relations with the Taliban despite differences with Kabul.

According to “The Express Tribune”, Akram emphasized that the actions of Afghanistan’s leadership should not be blamed on the Afghan people. He added that Pakistan has consistently supported engagement with Afghanistan and is now pursuing efforts to address the situation through dialogue and political means.

Akram also highlighted that resolving Afghanistan’s internal and external challenges will require a collective strategy and coordinated efforts.
