According to Pakistani officials quoted by the Dawn newspaper, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is utilizing American weapons left behind in Afghanistan to carry out attacks against security forces.
The access of TTP to advanced American weaponry has been highlighted as a significant challenge to the security forces of Pakistan.
The newspaper also cited a Pakistani security official’s statement, revealing that a recent attack in the Zhob area was perpetrated by five highly trained and well-equipped terrorists. These terrorists were equipped with night vision cameras and American weapons.
According to an official report from the American Congress, approximately $7 billion worth of military equipment was left in Afghanistan following the withdrawal of American troops. This equipment had been provided to the previous government of Afghanistan over a span of 16 years but subsequently fell into the hands of the Taliban after the fall of Kabul.
