Pakistani newspaper: Islamabad should support Afghan refugees under its international commitments

Regarding the border tensions between the Taliban and Pakistan, the Pakistani Dawn newspaper has written that the Pakistani government should support Afghan refugees based on its international obligations.

The newspaper also pointed out that the border problems between the Taliban and Pakistan should not marginalize the refugee issue.

According to the statistics presented in the report, Pakistan hosts nearly three million Afghan refugees. Approximately 1,840,000 other asylum seekers have cards issued by Pakistan.

It is said that 775,000 Afghan refugees do not have official documents.
