Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has called on the Taliban to hand over Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) members to Islamabad, citing the group’s role in recent violence, including the killing of five Chinese engineers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Naqvi urged the Taliban to arrest the leaders of TTP, including its head Noor Wali Mehsud, and transfer them to Pakistan to maintain friendly relations between the two countries.
He stated that Pakistan has discussed this issue with the Taliban, urging them to take action against the group, but has not yet received a positive response.
Naqvi also mentioned that TTP was behind the attack on Chinese nationals in Basham, and several individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident.
He highlighted that “terrorists” are exploiting the Taliban’s weaknesses, creating increasing threats to Pakistan’s security from across the border.
