The United Nations Organization for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has issued a statement highlighting the precarious economic conditions of refugees returning from Pakistan, emphasizing their urgent need for immediate assistance.
Describing the plight of returning children as “disappointing,” this international organization expressed concern about the challenging circumstances they face.
OCHA’s statement revealed that over 60% of those entering the country are children, many of whom have endured days of travel with uncertain destinations upon their return.
It is noteworthy that in early October, the Pakistani government mandated the deportation of illegal refugees, including 1.7 million Afghans.
