Mujahid Rejects UNAMA’s Criticism of Afghanistan

In a statement, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the Taliban, dismissed the United Nations Mission in Afghanistan’s (UNAMA) criticism of the Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice as unwarranted.

He stated that the rulings recommended by this ministry are well-established Islamic principles.

Mujahid further clarified that UNAMA reporters are attempting to assess Afghanistan from a Western perspective, which he deemed inappropriate.
