In a statement, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the Taliban, held the Zionist regime responsible for the assassination and martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Hamas political office.
He emphasized that the continued crimes of the Zionist regime will undoubtedly destabilize the region, and the blame for any negative consequences will rest with the aggressor Zionists and their supporters.
Mujahid added that martyrdom is the greatest success for a Muslim and mujahid, stating that Ismail Haniyeh achieved victory and left a legacy of resistance, sacrifice, patience, and perseverance.
The Taliban further stated that Afghanistan views the defense of the Islamic movement Hamas in Palestine as an Islamic and humanitarian duty, strongly condemning the crimes, bombings, and genocide of Palestinian Muslims by the Zionist regime.
The statement concluded by emphasizing that the martyrdom of this great mujahid is a significant loss for the Islamic Ummah and the jihadi movement.
