Mujahid: Afghanistan is safe

The spokesperson for the Taliban responded to a US report on terrorism in Afghanistan.

Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid has rejected the presence of al-Qaeda and ISIL elements in Afghanistan following the annual US report on terrorism.

Mujahid stated that Afghanistan has not directed threats to any country during the past two years and must be recognized as a “safe area.”
The US State Department published a report on terrorism in 2022, indicating that this year, elements of al-Qaeda, ISIS, and other terrorist groups focused on the region remained active in Afghanistan.
