Ariana News Agency: The former president’s national security adviser said that Biden’s serious decision to leave unconditionally and without transitional planning provided an opportunity for the collapse of the regime in Afghanistan.
“We constantly asked for a gradual exit process to allow us to properly prepare for the gaps and shortcomings that would appear with the full withdrawal of the United States, but that did not happen.” Hamdollah Moheb said in an interview with Foreign Policy newspaper.
According to the Doha agreement, he said that the Afghan government was on the margins and the United States had given concessions to the Taliban to end its war in Afghanistan, which had created confusion and a conflicting narrative in the Afghan security and defense forces.
Moheb said that in the weeks before the collapse, they had realized that the system would fall.
