In a research report, a foreign publication, UNDARK, discussed the increase in mental illness among women in Afghanistan.
This publication has interviewed several people with a mental health conditions in Herat, who said that the reason for contracting this disease is the increase in violence and war in the country.
According to this report, 900 cases of women’s mental illness were registered in Herat only in April of this year.
UNDARK has said that most mentally ill are women who used to be government employees or worked in various private institutions and are now unemployed.
