Kyrgyzstan to Transmit Electricity to Pakistan via Afghanistan

The Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan has announced plans to transfer electricity to Pakistan through Afghanistan.

Kyrgyzstan, in collaboration with Tajikistan, will begin exporting electricity to Pakistan via Afghanistan by 2025, according to the ministry.

Reports indicate that the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan has developed a plan to facilitate this export, set to commence in 2025.

The Central Asia Times reports that this initiative is part of Kyrgyzstan’s national energy program, which extends until 2035.
