Mohammad Nabi Omari, deputy interior minister of the Taliban, said Daesh was a phenomenon created by the occupiers. With the end of the occupation, its power and strength perished.
“ISIS is a phenomenon created by the occupying group, and with the end of the occupation, their strength and power, like their other mercenaries in Afghanistan, has collapsed. Now they exist more in foreign media propaganda than in practice,” Omari added.
Omri continued: “We believe in our security forces that with passaging time, they will be more successful in maintaining security, and people will support them.”
