International Organization for Migration: Pakistan should cease detaining asylum seekers

The United Nations International Organization for Migration has called upon the Pakistani government to promptly halt the apprehension of Afghan immigrants within its borders.

Qaisar Afridi, the spokesperson for this organization in Islamabad, expressed that the organization urges Pakistani authorities to revise their treatment of immigrants in Pakistan.

As per the International Organization for Migration, 3.7 million Afghans currently reside in Pakistan.
