Ariana News Agency: Members of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the twentieth session of the Assembly of States Parties have called for the start of war crimes investigations in Afghanistan.
Members of the ICC have defended their previous decision not to include the United States in investigating “war crimes” in Afghanistan, saying the investigation would include only the Taliban and other groups.
“Based on the evidence, we decided that the worst crimes in terms of scale and extent were committed by ISIS as well as the Taliban in Afghanistan,” said Karim Khan, one of the prosecutors of the International Judicial Council.
Prosecutors have called on judges of the ICC to start a war crimes investigation in Afghanistan as soon as possible.
