Increase in Malnourished Children in Afghanistan

The financial crisis and humanitarian situation in Afghanistan have had the greatest impact on children, according to the United Nations.

The World Food Program announced on “World Nutrition Day” that 3 million children in Afghanistan are suffering from malnutrition.

The organization added that of these 3 million malnourished children, only 1.3 million have received healthcare.

Additionally, the World Food Program previously reported that 2.3 million pregnant women in Afghanistan are also malnourished.
