Habib Hekmatyar, the son of Golbedin Hekmatyar, the head of Afghanistan’s Islamic Party, wrote in a tweet that if today the former president considers the Taliban dependent on others, he should also look at his past and how much he was hanging on foreign forces and their military, economic and political assistance.
