Hamed Karzai: The presence of Americans in Afghanistan was detrimental to the people of this country

Hamid Karzai considered the 20-year presence of American troops in his country to the detriment of the Afghan people.

Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, said: “The people of Afghanistan have always suffered from the presence of foreign forces, including the American military, in their country for the past 20 years.”

Karzai emphasized that the people of Afghanistan are the biggest victims of terrorism in the world and said: “The people of Afghanistan do not want the presence of terrorist groups in Afghanistan, and foreign countries should not attack this country under the pretext of fighting terrorism.”

The former president of Afghanistan also said about the recognition of the Taliban: “For global acceptance, the Taliban must first gain popular acceptance internally by respecting the people’s rights, including the complete reopening of girls’ schools and the formation of a comprehensive government, and then it will be recognized in the international arena as well.”
