Hamed Karzai: ISIS is an imported phenomenon

“The recent terrorist attacks in Kabul, Kunduz, and Kandahar in the name of ISIS were a conspiracy against the stability of Afghanistan,” Karzai said. “ISIS is an imported phenomenon that has nothing to do with the religion, history, and culture of Afghan society.”

Referring to the recent developments in Afghanistan, Karzai declared: “We welcome the recent developments that have reduced the flames of war and paved the way for the cessation of hostilities and bloodshed in the country, and that the people of Afghanistan today do not hear the bad news of war and killing. We are very happy to hear that. But the reality is that the difficult situation in our country and the recent terrorist incidents show that we are still a long way from establishing lasting peace and strengthening security and stability.”

He reiterated that the solution to the Afghan problem is to consult and refer to the people; Because political stability and lasting peace cannot be achieved without the participation of the people.
