Half of the private universities were closed

Ariana News Agency: The Association of Private Universities of Afghanistan says that the activity of private universities in the country has decreased by 50%.

Officials at some private universities have spoken of declining academic activity, adding that student attendance in the classroom has declined in recent months.

Officials at private universities say that most of the activities of private universities depend on the payment of student tuition fees, which have faced many challenges due to the low attendance of students.

While public universities have not yet opened in the country, the Ministry of Higher Education has said it is working on a new solution to reopen public universities.
