The Taliban, with their unfulfilled promises, continue to keep universities and schools closed to Afghan girls.
This policy has not only destroyed the hopes of the younger generation but also increased jihadist schools and extremist education, casting a dark and uncertain future for Afghan society…
Despite Taliban officials’ promises to the Afghan people to reopen universities for girls, this promise remains unfulfilled. The public had hoped that the Taliban would promptly address the educational challenges faced by Afghan girls and women and reopen schools and universities for them.
Yet, more than three years have passed without any progress in this regard. On the contrary, the growth of jihadist schools with their harsh, rigid culture has increased in the country. These schools promote extremist and takfiri ideologies, diverting girls and youth away from real education.
The continued closure of schools and universities has shattered the hopes of the Afghan people, especially its future generations. This policy has intensified brain drain and painted a bleak picture of Afghanistan’s future—a future marked by poverty, illiteracy, and ongoing conflict for the survival of the Taliban, keeping the people in complete darkness and ignorance.
