From Afghanistan to Ukraine: Repeating America’s Costly Mistakes

The Christian Science Monitor warns that the United States may be on the verge of repeating the same mistakes in Ukraine that it made in Afghanistan.

The publication highlights concerns that Washington is struggling to track the aid sent to Kyiv, raising questions about its management and effectiveness. Although this issue could be addressed, there is a lack of urgency in tackling corruption in Ukraine.

Previously, the U.S. Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction had cautioned that failing to learn from past errors in Afghanistan could significantly diminish the impact of foreign aid to Ukraine, rendering it ineffective.
