European Union: Citizens’ rights are a condition for recognizing the Taliban

A member of the European Parliament said that respect for the citizenship rights of the Afghan people is one of the conditions for the Taliban to be recognized.

Hannah Neumann, a member of the European Parliament who visited Kabul, said that the European Union would not recognize the Taliban until it recognized their rights.

The closure of girls’ high schools has put the Taliban under more pressure than the international community.

No country has yet recognized the Taliban government.
