The Council of the European Union yesterday in the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs approved a resolution in which acknowledged that the Afghan-Taliban talks should be promptly resumed.
Alongside its readiness to support the peace process, EU vowed to implement its reform plans especially in security sector and adhere to its commitments to the both sides and also take its utmost efforts into work to return the warriors and their families and business facilities back to the region.
The EU Council believes that the peace agreement should be reached among all sides and the government of Afghanistan to achieve a unity in resisting the terrorism and cross national threats.
Stressing on the women’s role the EU Counsel also announced that it should be dignified through all aspects of talks process.
The Afghanistan Presidential election on 2019 was the other aspect that EU Council stressed on that should be held transparently and strengthen the democracy and stability in Afghanistan.
