EU ambassador in Afghanistan: The international community does not recognize the Taliban

In a meeting at the European Parliament, Want Brent, the EU ambassador to Afghanistan, asked the international community to continue their humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan.

Burnett has emphasized that humanitarian aid from the international community should not be given to the Taliban.

Brent further said that the international community’s consensus is that the Taliban should not be recognized.

During the last month, Afghanistan has witnessed the occurrence of earthquakes and deadly and destructive floods, which have left heavy casualties and damages.
