Ariana News Agency: The Turkish president announced the Taliban’s offer to his country to run an international airport in the Afghan capital, stressing that no one would be allowed to contact the movement.
According to the Arabic section of the Turkish Anatolian News Agency (AA), President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced at a press conference in Istanbul before starting his official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro that the Taliban movement has offered us to run Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.
“The Taliban have some suggestions for us regarding the management of Kabul airport, and we have not yet made a decision on that,” Erdogan said, stressing that Turkey would not allow anyone to make contact with the Taliban movement.
Condemning the terrorist attack on Kabul airport, the Turkish president stressed that ISIL’s actions in doing so at this stage show the danger of this terrorist group in the region and the world.
Erdogan also noted that Turkey will continue to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan and will complete this as soon as possible.: The Taliban offered us to run Kabul Airport
