Banning Recruitment of Afghan Citizens in TTP

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has issued a directive instructing self-proclaimed commanders within the group to cease the recruitment of Afghan citizens.

Pakistani media outlets have reported a statement issued by the self-proclaimed deputy and defense minister of Tehreek-e-Taliban, Mufti Muzahim.

In this directive, Mufti Muzahim has conveyed to the “Military Commission of North and South Zones” within Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan the prohibition of recruiting Afghan citizens.

The order stipulates that any violation of this directive will result in punitive measures.
