Banning girls from the 2023 entrance exam in Afghanistan

The Taliban National Examinations Authority announced that only male students can take part in the 2023 entrance exam in Afghanistan.

The Taliban’s National Examinations Authority released a statement saying it has received only the list of male students from the Ministry of Higher Education of the Taliban.

We are not responsible for selecting entrance exam participants, which is the responsibility of the Ministry of Higher Education, The Taliban National Examinations Authority added.

Girls participated in the entrance exam last year, but the Taliban imposed restrictions on the choice of subjects for girls.
