Amrullah Saleh: The news of the Taliban’s conflict with Pakistan is false

Former Afghan Vice President Amrullah Saleh said the announcement of the Taliban’s clash with Pakistan was false.

“The Taliban’s intellectual structure and infrastructure are such that they cannot say a big word against Pakistan, let alone a conflict,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

Amrullah Saleh said that “occasionally Baloch freedom fighters are active in the conflict zone, not Taliban.”

Taliban fighters in Nimroz province reportedly clashed with Pakistani troops, shooting at a Pakistani military helicopter and wounding a general.

Many observers believe that the Taliban have had the backing of Pakistani military intelligence so far.
