Afghanistan Witnesses 81% Decrease in Terrorism-Related Deaths, Global Figures Rise

The Institute of World Economy and Peace has released a report indicating a significant 81% decrease in terrorism-related deaths in Afghanistan for the year 2023.

According to the report, the death toll from terrorism in Afghanistan has been reduced to 519, marking a significant improvement in the country’s security situation.

Conversely, the report highlights a 22% increase in global terrorism-related deaths, with a total of 8,352 fatalities recorded in 2023. This rise underscores the varying trends in terrorism impact across different regions.

In a related note, Pakistan experienced 490 terrorist incidents within the same year.
