5000 Afghans are waiting to receive German visas

About 5,000 Afghans are registered with the visa offices of the German embassies in the capitals of Pakistan and India.

Due to the closure of the German embassy visa office in Kabul in 2017, these people are registered in the visa offices of the German embassies in Islamabad and New Delhi.

According to the report, the German government has registered 3,455 people in Islamabad and about 1,500 in New Delhi waiting to receive their turn.

The German government also says that another obstacle is for applicants to leave Afghanistan to apply for a visa on time.
