The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has disclosed that the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has made a substantial contribution of $400 million to Afghanistan.
UNICEF reported that this assistance stems from a recent agreement involving the Asian Development Bank, UNICEF, the World Food Program (WFP), and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
According to UNICEF, this aid will be instrumental in addressing food insecurity and meeting the healthcare needs of mothers and infants.
Furthermore, the organization emphasized that over 9.5 million individuals in Afghanistan reside in areas lacking healthcare facilities, with a substantial demand for healthcare services.
